SUNDAY is the last day for parents to apply for a secondary school place for next year.
Parents and carers can now apply for their child’s school place using the online portal that can be found on the council’s website.
Sunday is the final day for secondary school applications, whilst January 15, 2022, is the closing date for primary school admissions.
Coun Trevor Cave, cabinet spokesperson for children’s services, said: “We want Barnsley to be a place where children and young people can achieve their full potential.
“This is why we were delighted to see 93.8 per cent of children receive an offer for their preferred primary school and 96.9 per cent receive an offer for their preferred secondary school.
“It is important that you apply on time and identify three preferences.
“Apply online today and check out our school admissions webpage for all the information you need to make an informed choice for your child.”
