TWO men were arrested after a teenager was allegedly raped in Barnsley last weekend.
South Yorkshire Police were called at 12.28am to reports that an 18-year-old woman had been raped on Old Mill Lane, near the town centre.
Officers attended the scene and a cordon was put in place while they conducted their initial inquiries.
A police spokesperson added: “Two men, aged 31 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of rape and have been bailed.
“The victim is being supported by specialist officers at this time.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
“If anyone has any information that might help our officers in their investigation, please call 101 quoting incident number 44 of October 16.”
