IMPORTANT changes to coronavirus vaccine walk-in clinics across the borough have been released.
Barnsley CCG are now asking residents who are getting their second dose to book online or call 119 rather than just walk in without an appointment as they had been doing.
A spokesperson for the Dearne Area Team said: “We are asking everyone who needs a second vaccine to book it online or by calling 119.
“There will be no walk-in slots for second doses, only booked appointments.
“You can use the booking services at any time and you will see a range of dates and times here in Barnsley.
“You will be able to get your second vaccine eight weeks after your first dose.
“Walk-in appointments are still available for people who need their first dose.
“There is no appointment needed.
“It is really important as we head into autumn and winter that you now have your first vaccine.
“You can drop-in or you can still book a slot online or by calling 119.”
