COUNCIL bosses want to remind parents what to do if their child has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

If the school contacts you about a potential positive coronavirus case in their class, you should:

  • Isolate them for ten days, even if your child doesn't display any symptoms

  • Your child should not attend any out of school clubs, childcare, or activity groups. They should remain at home

  • The rest of the household doesn't need to isolate unless someone else in the household develops symptoms. Siblings can still go to school.

You must also get a test if you develop any symptoms of the virus.
