A ROAD in Hoyland Common will be closed for approximately nine months from next week.
Tankersley Lane is set to close on May 12 to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians from 40 metres east of Green Lane to New Road.
The work will take approximately nine months to complete.
This is down to the installation of a new road layout.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “An alternative route is available via New Road, Westwood New Road, A61 Westwood New Road and Sheffield Road.
“This work is being carried out by Winvic Construction.”
