Barnsley cat charity to help with neutering costs

A CAT charity is helping owners across the borough pay their neutering costs.

Cats Protection Barnsley has relaunched a scheme where residents living in the postcodes S70, S71, S72, S73, S74, S75 and S63 will be entitled to a discounted rate for neutering operations.

Participating vets include Vets4Pets in Barnsley and Cortonwood, The Pet Vet, Churchfield Vets, Abbey Vets, Medivets, Greenside Vets and Calder Vets in Penistone.

Wendy Bell, at Cats Protection Barnsley, said: “Appointments are made by contacting the vet directly.

“Vets operate social distancing policies so please check with the vet what will be expected. Vets are likely to be busy so please book early.

“The scheme is open to all postcode residents regardless of benefit status. It will be a discounted rate.

“Proof of residency will be required to be presented to vets.”
