Stanley knife blades recovered near school

OFFICERS recovered two knife blades near a secondary school in Kendray.

The Stanley Knife blades were recovered on Farm Road, near to Barnsley Academy as officers roll out Operation Sceptre this week.

Operation Sceptre raises awareness of knife crime and targets any knife-related offences.

A spokesperson for the Barnsley West Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “These blades have been sent off for destruction.

“Please make sure you dispose of your work tools in a safe and secure manner to avoid them getting into the wrong hands and causing serious harm and injury.”
