A PENSIONER fell through the floor of a Cudworth betting shop earlier today.

Emergency services were called at 11.34am following reports that an 80-year-old man had fallen through the floor at Coral betting shop, Barnsley Road.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Early indications suggest that the floor had been weakened by a previous water leak.

“The man was removed from the floor by officers from the fire service, and was taken to hospital for checks.

“Barnsley Road is currently closed to traffic.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 287 of April 22.”
