AN AVID knitter has knit up a storm once again, as her Easter-themed creations have helped to raise more than £800 for charity.
Val Stevenson from the town centre has raised £862.11 for Barnsley Hospice through the sales of her knitted goodies.
She previously helped to raise £995 at Christmas with her festive creations.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Hospice said: “The hand-knitted chicks, bunnies and purses were a welcome addition to many people’s Easter gifts, and we are so grateful for the support.
“Thank you, Val and friends.”
