A FLOWER seller has been hit with a £1,000 fine after he was found to have operated his business during lockdown.

Oliver Dilley, from Boston in Lincolnshire, traded as Olly's Buds and Blooms from an address in Carlton.

On March 13, he was found to have been selling goods from the address by means other than pre-ordering.

He was found to be in breach of business restrictions under The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020 and was given a Fixed Penalty Notice and a Prohibition Notice by Barnsley Council.

The Fixed Penalty Notice requires him to pay £1,000 within 28 days. The Prohibition Notice prohibits Mr Dilley from selling goods by means other than by pre-order.
