RESIDENTS in Cudworth, Monk Bretton, Royston, and Carlton are being asked to give up some of their free time to help to combat loneliness n the elderly.
Age UK Barnsley has put out an appeal for residents in the North East area of Barnsley to give up some of their free time to phone or provide activity packs for isolated residents.
Loneliness is prevalent amongst the older population as many of the age group are self-isolating or shielding at home throughout the pandemic.
