A BARNSLEY College student is making the most of the colder weather and has started her own hot chocolate stirrer business.

Travel and tourism student, Kelsey White became inspired to start her own business after finding that a popular brand of hot chocolate stirrers had sold out.

She began working on flavours and recipes and just weeks later she had sold more than 2,000 stirrers.

Kelsey apied to iTrust initiative and received a £250 grant to help her invest in more chocolate moulds, and packaging.

Kelsey said: “I have to say a big thank you to iTrust for supporting me constantly with my business; all of the team are amazing.

“I would recommend other students to get in touch with Enterprise if they have a business idea as they provide so much useful help and support.

“In the future I would love to own my own successful restaurant or cafe.”
