ALTHOUGH the main event is over, a church in Grimethorpe has made a Nativity Trail for families to take part in during the festive break.

St Luke’s Church, on St Luke’s Road, has swapped its annual Christingle service for the great outdoors by setting up its Nativity Trail across the village.

Families have been encouraged to get outside after Christmas and remind themselves of the nativity story.

Fr Thomas Bates-Bourne, from the church, said: “If you have young families at home and are looking for something safe to get them out in the fresh air, this may be for you.

“You’ll find all the characters of the nativity hiding around the front of St Luke’s. Each one has a little activity and a QR code of crafts to download.”
