BARNSLEY Museum will open a new exhibition... which can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.

Even though the museum is currently closed, anyone wanting to see the 'I Grew Up in the 80s' exhibition will get a sneak-peak into the exhibition with a guided virtual tour by the creator of the exhibition, Matt Fox.

The exhibition contains more than 200 objects from the iconic decade including a Rubix Cube and a Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer.

Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture, said: “Barnsley Museums’ always strive to be as accessible as possible.

“They want to share their collections and exhibitions with people even though they are closed and this 360 tour is the perfect way to do it.

“Everyone needs a smile right now and this exhibition will do just that, we are sure people will want to see it in person when museum opens its doors.”

The tour will go live on November 24, at 7pm. To watch the tour, visit the Experience Barnsley Facebook page.
