A VOLUNTEER litter picker has said that people should be 'ashamed' after more than ten bags of rubbish were collected from a park in Brampton Bierlow.

Don Keating, of the Wath, West Melton, and Brampton Litter Pickers helped to collect 13 bags of rubbish from Bierlow Park, Wath Road this morning (October 8).

He said: “The people responsible for all this litter, week-in-and-week-out should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

“There are six litter bins in the park but they decide not to use them – its shameful.”
