BARNSLEY Neighbourhood Watch is teaming up with a national insurance company to crown the community’s neighbour of the year.
The crime prevention group along with Co-op Insurance, aims to celebrate local neighbours who have gone ‘above and beyond’ for their area.
The group are looking for individuals with a willingness to look out for others, be sociable and friendly, offer practical help, and be kind, caring and respectful.
This year, a new category has been launched called Young Neighbour of the Year, specifically designed for young people aged 18 to 24 who have supported the local community.
The deadline for the nominations closes on October 27.
