POLICE officers from Ardsley have warned residents to ‘stay vigilant’ following reports of a suspicious man attempting to enter homes and vehicles in the area.
Officers from Barnsley West Neighbourhood Policing team based in Kendray have warned people to lock up after themselves.
This comes after multiple reports were made about a suspicious male who had been trying car and house doors in the early hours of the morning in the area.
A spokesperson for the Barnsley West Team, said: “We ask residents and motorists to remain vigilant and do not leave any valuables in vehicles or any items on show and to make sure you lock your house doors and windows.
“Please report any suspicious activity or persons and vehicles to South Yorkshire Police by calling 101.”
