A SITE manager from Barnsley has been recognised amongst the best in the country at a national awards.

Liam Pettet, the site manager at Barratt Homes, won a National House Building Council award for his job quality at a building site in Nottinghamshire.

Liam is overseeing the construction at Barratt Homes’ Fernwood Village development in Fernwood.

The 30-year-old said: “It’s a fantastic achievement, especially as we’re working on a brand new site and it’s the first time the quality of our work at Fernwood Village has been judged.

“I’m with a new group of workers this time around. Everyone’s really on board with what we’re trying to achieve and the support from the senior management at Barratt Homes has been great so it’s a real team effort.

“This award is just as special as the previous two so I’m very happy to be recognised.”
