AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following a fatal car crash last night.
Police received reports of the accident on Huddersfield Road at around 1am where it is believed that the car collided with a tree.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries into the incident will continue. Anyone who saw what happened, or who thinks they may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 95 of June 21."
