A WEDDING venue decorator is offering a free wedding set up for NHS staff in the Barnsley area.

Claire Chappell, who has ran Chappell2Venues for nearly seven years, wants to help the key workers with their weddings in 2022.

She said: “We usually do a lot of charity work for places across Barnsley, such as Macmillan and Cancer Research, but this time I wanted to do something a little different.

“The NHS staff are doing such an amazing job and I think that this is a really nice way to thank them for all of their hard work.

“It’s the least we can do for them at the minute.”

Bookings can be made for 2022 weddings from now, and all you need is your NHS card to do so.

“I’d have done it next year, but obviously there’s a lot of postponements this year meaning they’ve had to be pushed back,” the 44-year-old told the Chronicle.

“I want to make sure that people know this isn’t a competition at all, if you work at the NHS then all you do is make a booking and I’ll fit you in.”

The wedding set up includes chair covers, three foot love letters, and a ferris wheel with sweets, as well as much more.
