BARNSLEY fans donated the equivalent of almost 200 meals for Barnsley Foodbank Partnership at the weekend.

At Saturday’s League One fixture against Reading, the football club continued their Reds Against Hunger campaign.

They asked supporters to donate food on the day, and in the week leading up to the match.

A spokesperson for the Barnsley FC Community Trust said: “We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who donated at our donation drive on Saturday in support of Barnsley Foodbank Partnership.

Your donations brought the equivalent of 190 meals for the people in need throughout Barnsley.”
