Pair due in court after large drug find

A MAN and woman have been charged with drug offences after a large quantity of crack cocaine and heroin were found at a Barnsley property.

Last Wednesday a warrant was executed on Margaret Close, Darfield, by officers from the tasking team and Barnsley South Neighbourhood Policing Team.

During the warrant a large quantity of crack cocaine and heroin were found.

Matthew Brookes, 43, is charged with production of crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin and possession of criminal property. He has been remanded into police custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on May 10..

Rebecca Anderson, 44, is charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of heroin. She has since been released on bail to appear before Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on May 1.
