It's Fitzwilliam Street looking east from Sheffield Road. Allot Street is first on the left. I used to live at 24 Allott from 1941 to 1956. Second row on the left was called The Bottom Company Row. Working Men's Club on the right burned down in about 1950 and was later rebuilt. The shop (?) in the second group of houses on the right did not exist in 1945. The caretaker of the Club lived in that house. look at it on Google Earth Street View.......not much has changed.

Yep Fitzy - I grew up there in the 60's, 70's and 80's. A lot of fond and fun memories with my brothers Andrew, Neil, my mates Julie, Joanne, Stephen, Young Beefy, Grainy, Kaz, Anna-Marie Vix Hazel etc etc etc :-)
