I worked there from school in 79 until the supervisor was picking on me and my mum went down and have her a piece of her mind I wasn't there long lol

Worked at heelis st 8yrs. Made some great friend and great memories. Sadly lost contact with most due t been made redundant. Like most big companies all work went abroad.

I've been managing hearing damage claims for ex-Gents workers. 78 claims and counting. I've met some lovely people. Sounds like the management didn't care too much about their health.

My wife, then known as Angie Fairweather worked at Heelis Street for years. She moved to Dodworth Road when Hellis Street shut down, then ironically went to work for M&S where she`s been ever since.

I worked at S.R Gent dodworth road for 11 years. I started on the applicut job then I worked on the embroidery loved the job but unfortunately the management made it so you couldn't earn your money.

I worked at Heelis Streeet from 1977 the supervisor was Margret Walshaw, Anis Winwood, was in the stores.
