Its sad sad news what as happened and you will be missed by many.

But will we see justice? The laws and the punishment you get in the uk are ridiculous this is why crimes like this are becoming so common.

We should stand up and be heard, its time for change!

R.I.P to the man involved. WAB, people will speculate and will comment on this even if they dont know the facts, me and my family have had to deal with this twice in the last 18 months and the things we saw wrote on here about our familys were upsetting and disgusting. my love goes out tho the mans family whatever the circumstances of his death xxx

Glad I don't live in Barnsley anymore just wish me mam could sell her house and get away from there too. Moving to Crete in the near future just gotta persuade her to come with us, relatively crime free over there !
Thoughts to the lads family. RIP S

The last time I checked, Wombwell was in Barnsley. Which makes your comment unjustified and stupid.

I totally agree with you, I live on the street. A few years ago, it was a lovely area where everyone knew each other, and it was quite a nice quiet little street. However, now because of a select few the street, has now got a bad name, I can't sell the house, at this rate I would not be able to give it away. I am even embarrassed to let people know where I live, let alone have friends here. I cannot not even imagine what's it is like having children, and the worry into what they may be seeing in what used to be a safe and friendly neighbourhood.

Thanks daz !
Wombwell is in Barnsley. And I hate to burst your bubble Roy, but Barnsley has been going downhill for years. And yes murders take place everywhere and everyday I stand by my point that Crete is almost crime free due to the cultural differences where family means everything and to commit even the smallest crime brings shame upon the family as a whole, a bit like what it used to be here in days gone by. So I stick by my comment 100% if you don't like it don't read it. Savvy ?

Oh dear we are digressing again -
FACT - A man died
FACT He was murdered
FACT 2 people have been arrested in connection with it
FACT Wombwell is in Barnsley
FACT Murder is happening all over the world - even in quiet countries.
FACT You can't run away from crime - it happens all around us - even the secretary taking a pen home from work is crime. No where can claim to be CRIME FREE
Now lets focus
A man has been murdered in Wombwell, Barnsley. He may have a family who care about him very much and have now lost a father, brother, son, grandfather(?) they do not care if you lot argue whether Wombwell is Barnsley or Wombwell in Barnsley. They don't give a damn about the rise of crimes of this type in the area (at the moment) they are hurt confused and grieving for a lost one - now let them do it without petty squabbles between each other.

Daz, Rickyand Roy you are all correct - don't fall out over something so trivial life is much too short.

Kathy xxx

re:caz you cant just bring back hanging as much as some people would like to incase an innocent person gets hung thats why it was abolished in the first place.

I don't agree with hanging at all. However, with DNA evidence nowadays, hanging someone who is innocent would be practically impossible. I do think though that we would all feel hanging weren't necessary and crime rates would drop of life meant life and it also meant 18 hours hard labour every day, solitary confinement forever and no telly, windows etc i.e. prison, not Butlins a la Strangeways.

Murder is a crime in this country, it's viewed as a "big one" maybe the biggest. It is very serious that someone sees fit to take away anothers life and all that it entails with friends and family suffering massively... the petty squbbles that go on within the thread as though dicussing a beer price increse while watching Eastenders shows a real lack of empathy with those in pain today.

If those are Wombwell people that are so uncaring discussing side issues then it's true that the place can only get worse because if even murder is viewed as light entertainment without respect for family and friends then what is the future going to give?

think its disguisting how people on ere can scwabble about were barnsley or wombwell are you all should look at the facts that some one has been murderd and two people should rot in hell for what they av done he as a daughter and family who are going to miss him loads so stop and give a thought for them x
