Learners on the Motorway

Thursday April 12 2018

THE Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency have announced that from June 4 learner drivers will be able to take lessons on the Motorway.

The aim is to ensure that drivers know how to use the motorway safely however the lessons will not be compulsory.

Under current laws, newly-qualified drivers take lessons through the voluntary Pass Plus scheme.

If the learner is to have a motorway lesson, they must be accompanied by an approved driving instructor and the car driving a car fitted with dual controls.

Do you think this is a step in the right direction?
