POLICE are appealing for information after a 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a HGV.

The white HGV was travelling along Rotherham Road towards Brierley at around 8.25am yesterday morning, when it collided with the boy who was riding a bike.

The collision happened close to the junction with John Street.

The boy was air lifted to hospital, where he currently remains with suspected serious injuries.

Anyone with further information should call 101 quoting incident number 170 of 21 March 2017.

When i heard about this yesyerday made me geel sick as the lad goes to my grandchildrens school. I prey this little lad. Makes a good fast recovery. His poor parents must. Be worried out of there minds.
