NORTHERN rail are urging customers to check their journey this Monday, due to planned industrial action.

Some train services will not be running, but replacement bus services will be put on throughout Barnsley, Leeds and Manchester.

A spokesperson from Northern Rail said: "We expect these services will be extremely busy, especially those between Leeds and Manchester.

"Please give yourself extra time to travel and consider whether your journey is necessary."

Wodger, the people who have withdrawn their labour work for National Rail, NOT Barnsley Council. Also being on strike is not a sackable effected, as long as it is within the law.

How would it be cost effective or even a realistic thing to say that they should sack everyone then retrain 100s of people? Whos going to do the work while people are being trained. Hair brained suggestion
