POLICE are hunting for the driver of a car after a hit-and-run in Worsbrough which left a man with serious injuries. 

The incident happened around 6.25pm on Wednesday (March 1) when a car, possibly a red/burgundy Rover 25, was involved in a collision with a scooter in Highstone Lane, Worsbrough.

The rider of the scooter suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The car is reported to have driven off from the scene and police say they're keen to trace it.

It is believed the car, which may be a red/burgundy Rover 25, may have significant damage and will be missing parts of the front bumper.

Cowardly thing to do to someone. Crashes happen the least you could do is stay at the scene and do the right thing.
