This list of full changes is incomplete. Major changes to all the penistone routes.

There will a new service bus for ASOS coming from Rotherham.

The 216 is paid for by ASOS so that's why its only runs at shift times

the 216 service to asos only runs for people that works on afters and not for other 2 shifts

will there still be buses to doncaster airport around august

Reply Posted by Mr Spoon on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 23:30
Stagecoach have not being doing the X19 to Doncaster Airport for a while now. You have to change at Doncaster and catch a First X4. No sign of that bus being cancelled

Reply Posted by Brian on Tuesday January 3 2017 at 19:32
Bet there's no Saturday night service after 8 on x19 Doncaster - Barnsley

Reply Posted by Mr Spoon on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 23:28
Last X19 leaves Doncaster at 1955 on saturday

How will I cope when the 32 from the end of my street becomes the 28c, there is no logic or reason.

Reply Posted by inmyopinion on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 15:31
you will probably not notice any difference, the benefit is now you can get towards Shafton and beyond and back without having to change buses

Reply Posted by Carole on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 08:33
So the 8/8a is gonna be stopped. Leaves us at ward green without a bus whatsoever. im young enough and fit enough to walk to town but how do they think such people as the elderly are going to get out and about. Absolutely ridiculous

Reply Posted by Andrew on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 09:45
The 67/67a will serve Ward Green as part of the new services.

Reply Posted by Mr Spoon on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 23:35
67 will run via Mount Vernon Hospital every hour and then along Kingwell Road
67a will also run every hour throughout the day

Reply Posted by inmyopinion on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 15:27
not all the changes that are happening are included in the above info, there is still more to be added on the travel south Yorkshire website

Reply Posted by elizabeth wallace on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 18:14
I'm totally disgusted you are taking the number 8 and 8 a buses off what are elderly people who are not that good at walking long distances and carrying bags of shopping I think whoever has made this desition is very callous

Reply Posted by Andrew on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 21:42
It is being replaced by the 67 67a so there will still be a service covering the area

All I see on this list is reduced or withdrawn. So the 'changes' are actually cutbacks and a reduced service.

Glad to see that london is getting new and additional public transport though

Reply Posted by MazMac on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 20:04
I think the fact that the 34 and 34a are being withdrawn is disgusting. I pay the £12.50 megarider to get from Worsbrough to Shafton Green. Now I'm going to have to walk over a mile to get from the Shafton High Street, into the green. As above I am young and fit, so I am not so bothered about myself. But my mother who is in her sixties has to travel the same distance or pay Watersons the extra from Barnsley Interchange. Not to mention mother's with children and buggies walking in atrocious weather. Stagecoach SUCKS!!!!!

Reply Posted by Mr Spoon on Wednesday January 4 2017 at 23:40
There will be a new ticket what will be valid on all buses in Barnsley only called the Barnsley connect priced a bit more than the Stagecoach tickets

What many people still haven't cottoned on to apparently is that all these problems now ,and the extra problems in future that will be caused by these latest changes are the consequences of privatisation.Where there used to be a public transport service there are now private bus and train businesses. All private businesses exist to make profits, the service element is secondary. If a bus route is not profitable enough it will be axed and to hell with the people who use it ,in some cases rely on it.The very ethos of public service has been sneered at and under attack since Margaret Thatcher was in power (and by every government since) and has been an absolute disaster. Is the purpose of life to have a tiny, tiny proportion of the population of this country increase their wealth year after year by obscene amounts and for everything and everybody else to just wither away ?,or do we all deserve better ?

You say your not so bothered about walking, so why grumble in the first place or are you just one of those people who like to moan. What other people do regarding catching a bus isn't really any of your concern is it. Get a grip MazMac.

Well I Never...says the one. Who is the one, so bothered by what I wrote. If you had read it, you would have seen that I mentioned my mother, who is recovering from cancer, which is why I mentioned the distance!! Was grumbling for a reason. I only mentioned mother's with children, as I am one myself and will also have to walk that distance for my children to see their grandmother. So I am pretty sure I have a grip.

y dont u put better seating on buses on seats

Reply Posted by Pam on Friday January 6 2017 at 18:35
Regarding 34 34a I hope there is still a bus going on Rotherham Road because there are people who are not able to walk far or who have other issues with buses being too full so that they cannot get a seat. These days companys like stage coach do not take into account of people having disabilities just so long as they are making a huge profit.

I blame the bus drivers

Does anyone know what is happening to the bus 203 as its not on the list. A driver has told me they are stopping the bus going around Aldham House Estate so that means no bus yet again around that area. So more information would be appreciated xx

Reply Posted by Xxx on Friday January 6 2017 at 20:59
Sarah, the 203 only running wombwell to donny, the 222 will be serving the aldham house estate
