TV PRODUCERS want local families to star in a new ITV series about how you can save money on the cost of food.

Producers say the show will give families the opportunity to help reduce their food shopping bill and learn some tasty new recipes.

People from all backgrounds are being encouraged to come forward.

My david used to run the market pub at elsecar, won awards, is still a right popular bloke. Comes from jump village where the famous Percy turners pork pies come from. He has a wicked sense of humour and is loved by everyone who meets him

I don't know Mick. I don't think anyone believes that producers of TV programmes go through the often strange comments on WAB and think 'oh this one sounds good, I'll just post on WAB to tell them they have been selected.'
So I suppose people just post 'pick me' for a bit of attention for a moment....

Hi we have seen your advertisement on Facebook regarding the food show.
I have a family of 5 adults 1 child living at home I send £130 pounds a week on shopping and we have takeaways as we when it comes to end of week I'm empty my fridge and end up with a bag full of food which is thrown in bin I so need to know how I cavan save money on food if you can help
