TV producers want local families to apply for the show TV producers want local families to apply for the show

TV PRODUCERS are looking for Barnsley families to take part in a new primetime TV programme for Channel 4.

Taxi of Mum & Dad explores how parents are increasingly using the car as a way of spending quality time with their kids.

By rigging the family car with small cameras, the programme will capture the day-to-day challenges of family life, moments when parents and teens discuss life issues, news stories or are simply having fun together.

Filming for the show will take place early 2017.

It could be embarrassing for the town I suppose. There are certainly quite a few idiots around but a lot of them are all talk so they couldn't sustain being filmed over time and complying with the requirements, which is what this programme sounds to need. As well as needing to drive and have a family including teens that spends some time together. This does rule out a lot of idiots so hope they can focus on some interesting families.

a great opportunity to show Barnsley families in a more positive light, there are a lot of families doing their best running round between school, after school clubs and picking up our older kids after their nights out. Also a lot of parents do multiple jobs so the time in the car is often quality family time.

No, it will be filmed in people's cars while they are busy with all the day to day life. It will show how busy some people are and how hard it is to find time with your kids unless you want them to go feral while you get off your face while watching crap TV
.
