POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old Barnsley girl was approached by two unknown men, before one of them reportedly grabbed her. 

Police say that around 3.35pm on Sunday September 18, the girl was walking along Pontefract Road when she was approached by the men.

Near to the junction with Beever Court, one of the men is reported to have taken hold of the girl’s arm before she pulled away and ran in the direction of the Trans Pennine Trail to join her friends.

The girl was not injured but was left distressed by the incident.

One of the men is described as being of chubby build and was reportedly wearing black tracksuit top and bottoms with a black beanie hat.

Anyone who saw the incident should call 101 or email enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 815 of 18 September 2016.

I expect the police wanted to make sure the incident actually occurred this time after the situation with the last alleged incident of this nature in the area.

Are there any witnesses then? did anybody witness this alleged incident? Did the incident actually occur?
If someone is a victim of an assault like this, then I am very sorry for them.
I am also sorry for girls who imagine it. I think they might be victims when they were younger. I hope police look into this.
