A BARNSLEY College student is aiming to break a world record - for the biggest collection of UK train tickets.

Travel and Tourism student James Connelly, 17, is aiming to collect 163,235 train tickets, with an interim target of 10,000 by the end of the year.

Currently the Huddersfield lad has collected 6,953, and is requesting help from fellow college students and staff members to increase his collection.

Collection boxes will be placed in reception at the college’s Old Mill Lane and Honeywell Campuses for students to post their tickets in support of James and his venture.
