The new Barnsley market is a shambles with traders placed willy nilly and one way in and one way out didn't seem right

The stalls are in neat grid. They have an entry and exit at both ends. This comments has zero substance

My daughter went in yesterday. Said it was lovely, nice and bright and warm. Said it was a pleasure to look around.

The temporary market is a triumph - well done Barnsley Council. Smart, spacious and full of shoppers spending money. Can't wait for the final Better Barnsley scheme to finish. If the temporary one is anything to go by the final market will be fab.

jaycee, don't talk stupid and grow up. you are just trying to find faults that are not there. the new market is brilliant a lot better than the old one. Matts post sums up the new market spot on. and well done Barnsley council.

@pdr the new market as no where near the atmosphere of the old one and well done Barnsley council when you close the traders in cheapside and not providing alternative property for them

sorry but I just can not see what the problem is. the stalls are in straight lines you only have to walk down one aisle and back up the other. you will soon get to know where different stalls are. I know quite a few of the stall holders and all of them have said its miles better than the old one. One said the old one was murder because she was stood on a concrete floor all day.
