POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager suffered a serious head injury after crashing his car in Cawthorne. 

At about 5.50pm, a green Vauxhall Corsa was travelling along North Lane, away from the A635, when it collided with a tree.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a suspected serious head injury.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Anyone with further information should call 101 quoting incident number 869 of 19 August 2016.

I live in Cawthorne in the houses that run alongside the a635 and the road is used like a race track . The surrounding lanes are then like rally roads . This is no shock this accident .

I used t live up there on lane head farm loved it but ppl think they can handle those corners n they end up crashin n either killin them selfs or others bad road that n south lane not safe any more jus hope u dunt know young lad n he mite learn his lesson nt t d it again

It's not the road. It's the idiots that's on the roads. Just glad he hurt himself and no one else. Drive like a **** and deserve everything they get. No sympathy from me I can tell ya.
