Having a pet is a luxury not a necessity and cost should be a factor looked into when buying a pet! Insurance is available and depending on policy taken and company provider depends on what excess is to be paid. Most vets do care about the animal welfare but at the end of the day they are a business just like all other businesses out there!! Dont want the cost dont get the pet in the first place!

I don’t think it matters how much they cost. If it was a loved one who needed private care I would pay regardless. Pets are part of the family for most people. But then I suppose you could say vets take advantage of that. But, the service they provide is usually good, so it’s not like you’re paying for a rubbish service.
