A TV production company is looking for a local woman to star in its new BBC series.

Wall to Wall Media says it is looking for an outgoing woman from Barnsley, aged between her late teens and early thirties, to star in the 'Back in Time' lifestyle programme.

In the show, the woman will experience life as a domestic servant in the early 20th century.

She will be living in a house along with a family, and will tackle kitchen management before the age of modern conveniences.

She will also learn about day-to-day meals during the decades and put her cooking skills to the test both in and outside of the home.

Auditionees must be available to film over the school summer holidays this year.

Anyone interested should email maid@walltowall.co.uk for more details on how to apply.

My cooking skills are not very good and do usually rely on modern comforts. But I'm always up for a challenge, I'm very outgoing, talkative sometimes too much and most importantly I'm very john bull I say it as it is.

Go to Wentworth. A surprisingly large amount of people actually pay to visit and be tret as a servant for the day and call it an educational day out.

What does tret mean you gormless get? and you can go to any almost stately home (including Samantha Camerons' family home in Scunthorpe ) and do that stuff.

Cue them casting a young, immature and not very intelligent chick who has never cooked a meal on her life....thus portraying the image that Barnsley girls are idiots when in fact they are not!

Why are they looking for a Barnsley scrubber ? They were rehearsing it on Thursday so it must be already planned?
