BARNSLEY secured a play-off final spot last night after thumping Walsall 6-1 on aggregate.

The Reds claimed a comprehensive 3-1 win at the Bescot Stadium to nail down a place at Wembley, where they'll play either Millwall or Bradford on Sunday, May 29.

It was ultimately a comfortable win for Barnsley.

Adam Hammill's early close-range strike was followed by Ashley Fletcher's second-half effort.

Walsall's Jordan Cook curled in a late right-foot reply from outside the box, but a the hosts showed no sign of a comeback, and Josh Brownhill pounced late on to complete a 6-1 aggregate victory.

Priority tickets for the final go on sale from 10am on Friday 20 May. They will be available on general sale from 8am on Sunday 22nd May.

Fabulous achievement! For those not able to go to Wembley, will there be big screens again at Oakwell?

No chance of a beam back. You need to sell out for one of these which are football league rules.

All I would say is head down to Wembley, it’s the biggest game in 10 years, and to take what we have sold so far is embarrassing.

I thought it was poor for the JPT but could understand some not going to that. We need the support big time here. There could be nearly 2.5 times more Millwall fans there, and I suspect that they are already thinking about taking some away from us to give to Millwall.

Just support your team, as otherwise its looking poor. What will Winnall, Hammill etc think. Biggest game in ages and fans can’t be bothered, lets showcase our club to potential new owners etc.
