Man arrested after police stand-off in Lundwood

A MAN was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after a stand-off in Lundwood yesterday.

Officers attended a property on Priory Road yesterday afternoon (Monday 16 May) to speak to the man.

Specialist officers were called when the man barricaded himself into a room at the address.

The area was evacuated and a police cordon put in place on Priory Road while officers negotiated with the man.

No one else was injured during the incident.

Only on priory road. I was told he threatened to blow street up I can't believe all of south Yorkshire police were there cos he locked his sen in room lol

He had actually got an explosive device?
Had a weapon?
Had an hostage?
Done harm to himself?
South Yorkshire police had done f**k all?
We may then have something to ridicule the police for?
