POLICE are appealing for witnesses after vandals smashed a glass shelter twice in a matter of days at a Barnsley train station.

Police are appealing for information after the incidents between Friday 25 March and Tuesday 29 March at Thurnscoe train station. 

Officers believe the shelter was smashed with stones. After it was repaired by Northern Rail, the shelter smashed again just a few days later. 

PC Alek Marinkovic, investigating, said: “On Friday, 25 March the glass shelter was smashed with stones sometime between 1pm that afternoon and 10.30am the following day, Saturday.

“This damage was repaired the same day by Northern Rail, who manage the station, before vandals returned, striking again sometime between then and Tuesday, 29 March.

barnsley has more than its fair share of little ****** , BLAME THE PARENTS I SAY, THEY DONT GIVE A TOSS as long as their little angels are outa the house.

When they find the kids doing this they should make the parents pay double the price of the shelter. Then maybe the parents will keep their kids under control.
