A BARNSLEY MUM organised an Easter egg hunt to raise money for the Tiny Hearts Appeal.

Sarah Steele, from Cudworth, ran the hunt in her local area and asked parents and local businesses to donate.

Over 70 kids turned out for the event, which included a surprise appearance from Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

All the money raised will be donated to the Tiny Hearts Appeal, which aims to raise £1 million to fund a brand new Special Care Baby Unit at Barnsley Hospital.

Well done Sarah, a very worthy cause indeed.
However, (and no doubt this will cause ((unintentional)) offence to some).
The more we citizens do to raise funds for such essential things, the less likely the "Government" will be to accept THEIR responsibilities to hand over the cash, instead of giving away billions every year to such "essential" causes such as the E.U membership and overseas "development".
It's time our Government got a grip on their priorities, and focused their efforts upon their own people, (and not just in the capital city, which they regard as the WHOLE country).
Sorry... but these are the facts.
