And how much is been spent on the public pavements as most of these are just as bad as roads

Just returned home after Major back surgery in Sheffield. Journey not good but got infinitely worse in the Barnsley Borough particularly down Cemetery Road where there must be a "bump" every few yards. But have every confidence in Councillor Miller sorting it ALL out - Not!!!

What about Rowland Road, it's disgusting . To think it's a major road used for the hospital, it as more bumps and holes in it and half of it as no surface at all.It comes as no surprise many people are having serious car repairs. This road was last resurfaced in 1980/81, I was still at school ,I'm now 50.It's about time some thing was done and not just concentrating on the town centre.

It's a bit like sticking a plaster over Grand Canyon and thinking it's fixed. The council just do not, will not ever have enough funds and now never could keep up with the amount of required road repairs around the borough. just where does the road tax monies go to?

Road fund licences get mixed in with general taxation. The money doesn't go specifically to fund roads.

Please consider re surfacing Rowland Road at Gawber. This has to be one of the worst roads in Barnsley.

They should consider removing all the speed humps as they are dangerous and damage cars and cause back injuries. Why should everyone suffer because of inconsiderate drivers that love them whoevers idea this is must be mad

Now we learn that Rowland Road is be used for diversion traffic starting in February, while they close Victoria Road. Brilliant more traffic ,how much more traffic can one road take?

At least they are trying to do something to some of the roads. Sheffield's roads are terrible. From getting off the motorway, down towards Hillsboro, through city centre and then out to Chesterfield.
Drive that route and you will definately realise that ours are bad but not that bad.

Main road through GT Houghton needs doing....more pot holes than anything appearing around the speed bumps. In wet weather they look like small puddles. So much damage to people's cars
