ALMOST £5,000 has been raised for Barnsley Hospital's Tiny Hearts Appeal by the Alhambra's Christmas festivities.

The centre welcomed more than 1,500 children into its Santa's Grotto and 4D sleigh ride experience.

Alhambra’s marketing manager, Steph Higham said: "As a company we choose a local charity to support every year and given the great work the hospital does for the local community, we hope that our donations will help them continue to do so and help with the new baby unit.”

Fabulous. Just a suggestion- can Mr. Cameron be asked to match it penny for penny as he has said he will do for monies raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital. On radio yesterday Paul Bloomfield said Sheffield Childrens Hospital is also asking for their monetary donations to be matched. The money is substantial and every penny helps. Has Mr. Cameron set a president- equality springs to mind. Mr. Jarvis could perhaps ask a question in the House of Commons.
