Heartless thief steals pensioner's cash

A HEARTLESS thief stalked a pensioner doing her shopping in town - then snatched her bank card and stole £300.

Police are investigation after the 89-year-old reported the crime. She was followed around for more than an hour before the thief stopped to ask her for change and stole the bank card.

He had her pin number as he had followed her after watching her take cash out earlier in the day.

The incident occurred at the disabled parking bays at the top of Back Regent Street at about 2.30pm on Thursday November 26.

The man is described as being white, in his 30s and of stocky build.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident 707 of November 26.

I think this is so sad, how on earth can some one take advantage of a person who has spent nearly 9 decades on this earth. It will be lot more than money that has been taken form this lady.

yeh I saw same thin g outside Tesco at stairfoot when the man saw someone use the cash machine he got on phone to his mate who followed them round store they must think we are all blind and stupid .or they just don't care as some of them are pretty obvious
