A CRACKDOWN on antisocial behaviour in the town centre could result in police being given powers to give people a £1,000 fine for misbehaving.

The council is looking to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for the town centre and surrounding areas including Sheffield Rd, Doncaster Rd, Cemetery Road and Wood Street.

A 28 day consultation will take place from Monday 7 December until midnight 3 January 2016.

A spokesman said: “The Public Spaces Protection Order will help us to deal with particular, ongoing problems which are negatively affecting those living, working, and visiting the town centre."

They will make around £3,000,000 a year if they fine everyone £1K.
He coppers I will make it easier for you, here's the places where you can make EASY money:
Benches outside Peel Street Lavs
Mandela gardens
Rear of former gala bingo
Spuggy park
Outside interchange

To name but a few!

Begs the question though, the Police have the power to give people "get out of town" or "town exclusion orders" so why haven't they been doing this for years?

Under the new legislation, any behaviour you do not like will become illegal if reported. People in Barnsley will be able to tell tales on their neighbours and have the state punish people they do not like for any behaviour whatsoever.

The legislation being used will make practically everything but a select few exempted items illegal.

Chocolate - £1000 fine.
Sprouts - £1000 fine.
Bananas - £1000 fine.
Whey protein - £1000 fine.
Decorative cacti - £1000 fine.
Xmas poncietta - £1000 fine.

Barnsley is to become an open prison (if it is not one already - where the state tries to micromanage every part of free citizens lives).

Instead of just making money out of some kids misbehaving why not give them a public order act making them unable to be in the town centre first? .. Also if there going to handout £1000 they should see it go into some projects so these young one's in the town centre have something to do but it won't as usual they'll leave to town with nothing so the next generation will come hang about and cause bother time after time like its gone on for the past 10 years
