DEVELOPERS say the first phase of demolition for Hoyland will be complete by next month as they reveal their timetable for the redevelopment.

Fencing has been put up preparing sites that will be cleared to allow the £4.5million scheme to go ahead.

Developer Resilienti said: “Our programme is to complete all demolition by December 2015 and start on Duke Street to create a new town car park aiming to complete this by January 2016 and open it to the public.

"Then our focus is to build the new town market and kiosks on Southgate with a target date for completion in April. We aim to have the new market moved and fully operational by then.”

Once the market is relocated and up and running Resilienti will then start work on ‘Site B,’ the new supermarket on the plot where St Andrew’s church hall now stands.

sounds good all this re-development, it needs another supermarket in Hoyland, apart from the Co-op there is nowhere to shop.

Still need more shops tho like Argos, toy shops , need more banks , and some where to eat like kfc or McDonalds. Could do with some bus stands or bus station to separate the buses as there's too many going through hoyland . Wombwell buses , elsecar, Kendray, Sheffield, wath, piley, Rotherham, Meadowhall and chapeltown . Markets are a good start , boyes is a great idea , super market is also a good idea. Need to extend the town some how and make use of all the streets that's available and place extra shops there .
