Man fined over neglected garden

A BARNSLEY man has been fined for failing to clean up the rear garden of his home.

Jack Kimberley, 22, of Co-operative Street, Goldthorpe, was given a warning asking him to clear his garden within 14 days following complaints from residents.

But he ignored requests to tidy up and the case ended up at Magistrate's Court. 

He was fined £400, plus £120 costs, plus £40 victim surcharge, plus £150 criminal court charge, totalling £710.

This sort of thing should be stepped up by the council in all areas mainly private landlords who allow tennents to live in qualor. Then the council want to get there own house on order the amount of land the council owns that has been left overgrown and become dumping grounds.

I agree .There are scumlords who need to sort there tenants out .People living in squalor not because they have to but because the want to .Dirty people .

Totally agree with the comments above regarding greater enforcement on landlords and tennants that use gardens as dumping grounds or leave them to become an overgrown eyesore.

THEY ALSO NEED TO STEP UP ON PEOPLE LEAVING SOFAS WASHERS FRIDGESD ON THE FRONTS FOR MONTHS AND YRS I FIND IT DISGUSTING RATS GET INTO THEM AND WERE FLOODED WITH THEM THEN
