KIND-HEARTED locals have launched a fundraising drive to raise £5,000 to help out a distraught family.

The friends of Nicholas Bedford - the man killed outside the Blue Room Bar on Monday - say they want to help his wife Celia, and his children Amy-Rose, Jake and Holly.

Fundraiser Leah Knights said: "I know how devastated they are at this terrible time and would like to see them receive the help and support they need and deserve."

Almost £1,500 has already been donated on the fund-raising page.

Well loved character, my heart goes to his family life will never be the same again. It's a good job the culprit it locked up he's killed a very popular and well respected man. Don't know how you can live with that on your concience, he'll have lots of time to think about it though !
