HEALTH advisers will be moving in to Barnsley next month to teach locals how to shop frugally and cook healthy meals.

The new Be Well Barnsley service aims to make locals healthier - whether it be through helping them stop smoking, shop smarter, cook better or get fit.

The project is being led by PSS through the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

It is also looking at a new Fit Mums course that will encourage expectant women and new mums to be healthy.

Perhaps the health service ought to start prescribing benefits and council housing, as it seems to me, that much of the health problems that could be easily dealt with, are mental health problems arising from the persecution of people by the DWP, and mental and physical health problems arising from the poor housing conditions people face.
